Extended Exchange Setup Guide

Follow these steps to create a sub-account and generate API keys for FlowBot. Using a sub-account is strongly recommended for security and better fund management.

1

Create a Sub-Account

  1. Visit Extended Exchange Perpetuals
  2. In the bottom-right corner, click on "Account"
  3. Click "Add" to create a new sub-account
  4. Give your sub-account a name (e.g., "flowbot_1")
  5. Confirm the creation
💡 Pro Tip: Sub-accounts help you isolate funds and manage risk separately from your main account. You can easily transfer funds between accounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need a sub-account?

Sub-accounts provide better security and fund isolation. If something goes wrong with the bot, only the sub-account funds are affected, not your entire balance. It also makes tracking bot performance easier.

How much should I deposit?

We recommend at least $500-$1000 for optimal performance. With 5x leverage and the recommended settings, this allows proper position sizing and risk management.

Are my API keys safe?

Yes. FlowBot encrypts your Stark Private Key before storing it. We never share your credentials with third parties. However, always keep your private keys secure and never share them publicly.

Can I use my main account instead?

While technically possible, we strongly recommend using a sub-account for better security and fund management. It takes just a few minutes to set up.
